Dave and I chose to have a wedding at the shore. Instead of choosing the “typical” wedding venue, we chose The Whitebrier in Avalon, NJ, a popular bar at the Jersey Shore. I, personally, wanted this venue because I always loved the wood-inn-feel it had, plus The Whitebrier’s sprawling space with both indoor and outdoor space appealed to me. Dave trusted me, and since our families are both frequenters of the Jersey shore, he was happy with the choice, especially because The Whitebrier was a laid back choice. When we visited The Whitebrier in January of 2022 for a preliminary walkthrough, my parents were nervous about my venue choice and, quite frankly, questioned my sanity. The Whitebrier has a red bar room, with a mermaid. I’ll say it again, my parents were nervous. When Dave and I, our bridal party, and of course, my parents, walked into The Whitebrier on October 8, we were blown away. Our wedding was magical and warm. I still am in awe at how John, with our planner, Ashley, and her team, along with the florist, Amber, transformed The Whitebrier. John, was so accommodating. My parents even said they were wrong; they loved every aspect of the wedding. From the food, the service, to the space itself being able to offer every guest a special experience, our wedding was perfect.

Food and Service are top notch as you'd expect at a Union League Property. Interior is decorated nicely, and has an open feel. Despite the well hidden acoustic attenuation panels on the ceiling, the dining area is very loud as the noise from the bars spills into that area. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and hustle to serve guests and reset for the next wave of patrons.

Our second visit to the Whitebrier. Get better every time. There is a vibrant outdoor patio that brings a lot of energy and music. We sat in the restaurant off to the side (motorboat club) and enjoyed the patio vibe from a distance. We loved the food. Namely the sushi. Got the coconut shrimp, blackened scallops for spa. And crab cakes, aki and romantic rolls for the main. Everything was delicious

The restaurant has multiple beautiful venues both indoor and outdoor. The Chilean seabass was $40 and it came with a salad: but also, it was cooked with finesse and to absolute perfection. The Cape May Sunset sushi roll was $25, but it was outstanding, delicate and flavorful. Nice selection of cocktails, brews and wines to pair with your meal.

Had the pleasure attending the Whitebrier as a guest to a member, and it didn't disappoint! Great good, drinks, service and ambiance. Had a 5.15 pm seating on a Friday evening, and the place was packed. Kid friendly at that hour too.

Was treated to dinner and music trivia bingo one evening....Service was super. They never leave you wanting for a thing. VERY ATTENTIVE. Super accommodating. Trivia was fun!! Unique idea for music trivia. We loved it. The food was great. Had the Whitebriar burger, cooked medium rare. SO DELICIOUS !!! Our party was large and lots of different varieties of food were ordered and ENJOYED by all. If you have an opportunity try this spot....I highly reccommend.
